My Story: Everyone that is familiar with me knows that I'm not a big fan of microdermabrasion. Not because I think it's so bad for us (although you do need to be very careful not to break capillaries on older skin!), it's mostly because I've been doing it since 1988 and I'm just bored with it!! My first microderm machine looked like an ice cream trolley. I wheeled it in and out of the treatment room and it left crystals everywhere! Then I moved on to the crystal free machine, which was certainly not as messy. In about 2007 I just decided I was through with microdermabrasion. I sold the machine I had at that time and have never looked back! Until recently....
One of the Esty's I know purchased the Dermasweep and just kept raving about it. She liked the size of the machine and she also said it was different from traditional microderm. So I had to do what i had to do best and call the company to check it out! I had a very nice chat with their Vice President, Cory Hartung.
I got the unit and started playing with it immediately. It was totally different than the microderm machines I've been used to using. The bristles felt invigorating not irritating. The first client I used it on (someone I've worked on for years) emailed me the next morning and said her skin looked extra special good after her treatment. Hmmm....I like getting those kind of emails! So, I'm continuing to play with it and the feedback from the clients continues to be good. I did myself finally and I can say that I definitely like the feel of it better than traditional microderm. My skin did look amazing afterwards. So, I guess this means I've become a Dermasweep fan!
2/24/2011 Update: Today I started a series of treatments on a young gal for acne scars. I took before pics, so I'll be able to post the results. I gave her a pretty good exfoliation with the Dermasweep, applied the Real Transformation Lotion and then put her under the Luminix LED for 15 minutes. She looked FABULOUS! She was amazed at the difference in just one treatment. I'm going to do one treatment a week for four weeks and then take another set of pictures. So, check back for those result pictures.
3/24/2011: Okay, so the pics below are from my acne scar client. Just four treatments. She came in today for her fifth treatment and her skin looked even better. So smooth. I will take another picture after her sixth treatment. She's extremely happy!
