I’ve known Michele Corley of Michele Corley Clinical Skincare for many years. She’s actually formulated a few products for me over the years. A few weeks ago we had a long overdue chat (we’re both crazy busy women!). I had a request for a retinol product from one of my clients. I didn’t have one so I contacted Michele. She told me about her Brighten & Restore Complex that is a natural retinol alternative. I was intrigued and asked her to send me one. I’ve been testing it for a couple of weeks now. I immediately noticed a hydrated feel and look to my skin. I poured out a few samples to give to my clients. I didn’t trust myself. I can get excited about new things and I wanted to feel certain I was seeing what I thought I was seeing!! 🙂 Within a couple of days I got the same feedback from each client. They all asked if the could get a full bottle because their skin looked brighter and felt silky smooth. So it wasn’t just in my mind!! I hope you’ll give it a try and report me the same feedback!
Here’s some details about a few of the ingredients:
Bukuchiol (Babchi) Oil: Natures (NON irritating) Retinol Alternative. Clinical research shows after 12 weeks treatment (2xs daily) with .5% Babchi, significant improvement in lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity, firmness and overall reduction in environmental damage was observed. Results were comparable to .5% Retinol with no irritation.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C Ester): Non irritating stable vitamin C ester with potent antioxidant activity. Mitigates the damaging effects of UV exposure. Studies have shown when applied (2xs daily) collagen production is stimulated (1% in vitro increases collagen by 50%) as well as brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (1% reduces melanin synthesis by 80% and 10% eliminated age spots in 16 weeks).
Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10): Protects keratinocytes from oxidative DNA damage induced by UV light. Powerful antioxidant especially combined with vitamin E.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): Protects cell membranes from damage by oxygen free radicals. Prevents premature aging of the skin induced by UV irradiation and lipid peroxidation.
Rosa Mosqueta (Rose) Hip Seed Oil: Effectively reduces all forms of hyperpigmentation. Nourishes, hydrates and improves the texture of the skin. Rich in a bounty of nutrients including vitamins A, C and E, essential fatty acids, carotenoids, flavonoids and transretinoic acid.
Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Oil: Rich in vitamins A, B1, B12, C, E, K, and P, flavonoids, lycopene, carotenoids, and phytosterols. Powerful free radical scavenging properties combat wrinkles and soothes dry, irritated skin.
